What's the name of your handmade business and how did you come up with the name?
It was named after our springer spaniel Molly Moo. She was an angel of a dog and makes me smile everytime I write Bymollymoocrafts
How did you get into crafting and how long have you been crafting?
I have always loved crafting and it really took off when the children left home and I needed a way of filling the void!
What kinds of things do you like to make?
For BymollymooCrafts I make all things crochet. When I have chance to make for myself I also love hand quilting
What kinds of materials do you use?
The material I use most is a quality cotton yarn and eyes I go through lots of eyes!
What new crafts do you want to try?
I would love to try pebble painting and also the traditional way they hand make quilts in India
What is your favourite craft tool?
It has to be the metal safety tool from Tactile Treasure to help attach the safety eyes. It saves my fingers and makes sure I have a great seal.
What is your favourite Tactile Treasure supply?
Eyes!
What’s one of your favourite things you’ve made?
It has too be Mr B the badger. I love badgers
What are some of your favourite things to do in your spare time?
Spending time with my hens and dogs
What advice would you give to people just starting out on the CE marking journey?
I found it useful to buy the pack from Cornformance. Don't panic it soon become second nature to do the tests. Buy quality materials
What's the hardest thing about running a handmade business?
The paperwork! I keep on top of it now or it takes ages to catch up

This would be finding the confidence to put my makes out there. I found it nerve wracking setting up Facebook page and etsy shop but I am so glad I did as its been amazing
Can you tell us about your design nature.
Sometimes I come with a story then imagine the toy to go with it
What's ahead in 2021?
New designs, possibly some written stories to accompany my toys. Im busy planning Christmas designs yes in May!
