I don't know about in your household but scrunchies are still a hit here for both Amelia and her friends. Probably because they don't get lost as quickly as the small hair bobbles.

Use my tutorial and make some gingham ones in your school colours to match your hair bows for a co-ordinated look! 

One FQ with 1 meter of elastic will make 5 scrunchies  (based on my tutorial which you can check out here).
